Start with a year of STEG consumption
Reading your STEG bill: distinguishing kWh, billing period and amounts.
The first useful figure is electricity consumed in kWh. Several bills reveal summer–winter variations, occupancy periods and major uses such as air conditioning, refrigeration or electric heating.
The amount in dinars provides a budget reference. To size generation, we also examine kWh consumption and billing periods. A two-month bill covers two months: spending must be compared over the same period.
Your bill is enough to get started

Prepare my solar assessmentConsumption times matter too
Panels generate during the day. A home occupied during daylight hours, a shop with refrigeration and a business with machinery use electricity at different times. Usage distribution helps estimate how much generation will be consumed on site.
Future equipment also belongs in the study: new air conditioning, a change of building use or a business expansion. Mention these plans when requesting a quote.
Your roof determines the layout
- Usable area: available space after allowing for obstacles and necessary access.
- Orientation and tilt: factors affecting generation throughout the day.
- Shading: neighbouring buildings, walls, trees or equipment on the roof.
- Support and access: roof characteristics, fixings and working conditions.
The number of panels depends on each module's capacity and the layout. The inverter is selected to match the photovoltaic array and the site's connection.
kWc, kWh: the two units in your quote
| Unit | What it means | Where to find it |
|---|---|---|
| kWc | Rated peak capacity of the panel array under reference conditions. | Installation configuration. |
| kWh | Amount of energy consumed or generated over a period. | STEG bill and generation estimate. |
What your solar assessment should help you decide
Your proposal brings together the recommended capacity, equipment, studied layout, estimated generation and underlying assumptions. The budget and financing terms complete this information to help you choose your installation.
Prepare your recent bills, a few roof photos and the building's governorate. Our team then specifies any further information and on-site checks needed.
