Financing, generation, procedures: prepare your installation with the essential information.
Ask a question about my projectHow does solar self-consumption work in Tunisia?
Your panels generate during the day; you use your own electricity first, and the STEG grid supplies the rest. A bidirectional meter installed by STEG measures the exchanges.
How much will my STEG bill decrease?
Self-consumption offsets part of your STEG bill. The amount depends on your consumption, system size and self-consumption rate; we calculate it using your actual bill during the assessment.
How much does an installation cost?
The budget depends on the equipment, capacity and installation conditions. Your free quote details the equipment, installation, procedures and selected financing terms.
Can I qualify for a PROSOL ELEC loan?
Yes, subject to conditions: the PROSOL ELEC programme (ANME / STEG) combines a grant with a loan repaid through your STEG bill. Rates are revised periodically; the amount depends on your profile and is confirmed when you apply — we handle this with you.
Who handles the procedures with STEG?
We manage all procedures: preparing the PROSOL application, the loan, coordination and connection. The bidirectional meter is installed by STEG.
How long is the payback period?
That depends on your consumption, the kWh price you pay and your self-consumption rate. We calculate your estimated payback period in your personalised quotation.
Will it work on my roof?
Orientation, tilt, area and shading matter. That is why we carry out a free technical assessment before every quote, without pricing blindly.
What warranties and maintenance are available?
Modules, inverter and workmanship have separate warranties, specified in your quote according to the selected equipment. We provide local after-sales service and offer a maintenance contract.
What happens at night or without sunshine?
The STEG grid takes over. Self-consumption complements the grid; it does not disconnect you from it.
Do I resell my electricity and earn money?
The residential model is self-consumption: the aim is to reduce your bill, not generate income. Exported surplus is credited on your bills up to your consumption, under the rules in force.
What generation can I expect in Tunisia?
Tunisia has excellent solar resources: depending on the region, around 1 450 to 1 830 kWh per installed kWc per year (source: ANME). Your roof's actual generation is estimated during the assessment.
My business needs a medium-voltage connection: is that more complicated?
LV or MV depends mainly on the presence of a transformer, not just capacity. MV adds administrative steps, which we handle from start to finish. We assess the framework applicable to your site.
